I would like to share this reflection with all of you:

“Illness is a conflict between the personality and the soul” — Bach

An interesting reflection by Nelson Torres, Doctor of Psychiatry (UCV) and expert in Psycho-neuro-immunolinguistics (PNIL) in Venezuela:

Many times…

  • A cold “drips” when the body cannot cry.
  • A sore throat “blocks” when it is not possible to communicate one’s afflictions.
  • The stomach burns when rage cannot find its way out.
  • Diabetes invades when loneliness hurts.
  • The body gains weight when dissatisfaction tightens its grip.
  • Headaches bring you down when doubts multiply.
  • The heart weakens when the meaning of life seems to be ending.
  • Allergies appear when perfectionism becomes intolerable.
  • Nails break when defenses feel threatened.
  • The chest tightens when pride enslaves.
  • Blood pressure rises when fear imprisons.
  • Neuroses paralyze when the inner child tyrannizes.
  • Fever heats up when defenses push the boundaries of immunity.
  • Knees ache when your pride refuses to bend.
  • Cancer kills when you grow tired of “living”.

And your silent pains? How do they speak through your body?

Illness is not evil — it warns you that you are taking the wrong path. Review your path!

I find it beautiful to share this message:

The road to happiness is not straight. There are curves called MISTAKES, traffic lights called FRIENDS, caution lights called FAMILY, and everything is achievable if you have: a spare tyre called DECISION, a powerful engine called LOVE, good insurance called FAITH, abundant fuel called PATIENCE, but above all an expert driver called GOD (whoever that God may be — whichever one resonates within each human being).

Another reflection:

“I shall pass through this life but once. Any good that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being, I must do now, for I shall not pass this way again.” — Mother Teresa of Calcutta
